Introducing my lovely twin, Lio. ♡ And this is actually the first time I've posted anything picturing myself, so I guess you could say I'm introducing myself too, lawl. How I look, anyway. And it's also one of the first things I've drawn since amputating my right arm..

A short-ish little something about me and Lio:

Our names
When we where little kids and first learned to talk, we couldn't really pronounce our whole names so we just called ourselves "Lii" and "Lio". Also, in the little village we where born in lotus flowers where called "Lo" or "Lio" and waterlillies where called "Li". Those happend to be our favorite flowers, so I guess that had something to do with the naming too.
Our other two siblings are nicknamed Lu ("Sunflower") and Kii ("Hoya-flower", and Ki also means "tree" in Japanese).

Our past
We where born in a very poor, small village in an even more poor family. Both our parents raised us until we where 2 years old, then our father left our mom and she had to take care of us by herself. She also had to take care of our big brother, Lu, and our newborn little sister, Kii. However, our mom couldn't take care of us since she was severely ill, both physically and mentally. Two weeks before our fourth birthday, we where both adopted by two different families. I went to live with my new, semi-poor family and Lio went to live with a rich, elderly couple.

Our life now
We didn't meet again until about a week ago when Lio started at the same school I've already been in for a couple of years. It turned out we where going to attend the same class, the "special" class in our school, those who stay over the summer and needs extra attention. At first, we didn't realise who the other where until we became room-mates and started putting one and one together. We looked up our past, and sure enough, we'd found each other again. We've both been missing the other during all the 15+ years we've been away from each other, even if we got new families, and it feels like things are finally getting better again.
Lio told me about her life living in a big mansion with her adoptive parents, who passed away recently. She's had a good, easy life and I was happy to hear about it.
Then I told her about my life, my adoptive parents and how I ended up on the street, about the abuse, about my life that's been so much different then hers. She was pretty shocked hearing about my life and struggles, and probably even more shocked when I showed her all of my scars and especially my arm.
But we're so, so happy to be re-united again and we're going to try and stay together and help each other out from now on. We've both missed each other even if we barely remembered how the other looked, and even if we did we probably wouldn't recognize one another after all of these years anyway.
We love each other and even if we've been apart from each other almost our entire life, it feels like we haven't been away from each other more than a day.♡

EDIT: Because I've got some PM's about it... The whole nature/flowers/animal-nickname thing is very common where I come from. I've got lots of relatives nicknamed stuff like that. For example;
Lupi = Lupine-flower.
Mena = Maned wolf.
Mana = Dhole / Stray dog.
Minna = Hibiscus.
Jo / Joë = Wild horse / Spiritual horse.
Em / Emë = Lioness / Lion.
Ish = Jackdaw.
Rena = Raven.

My dog's name, Ravni, is a combination of two words/nicknames/whatever.
Ravne = Gerbera Daisy.
Avni = Savior / Guardian.
